solid connectivity

Using our trusted LIveU Solo bonded encoder unit which takes every single source of internet connectivity you can give it we was able to send a very strong bonded RTMP video stream to Facebook LIVE with plenty of bandwidth across our various connections. What RTMP Bonding achieves is it sends video files up multiple connections to create much more resilience and redundancy especially where you need it! - (On a live video stream).

we have a soft spot for filming live music

This particular job was technically challenging especially when you need reliable video transport that isn’t going to give up on you mid streaming. We really was at the hands of the internet gods on this one,

The location didn’t offer us many favours being that it was a farmers workshop in the middle of the Kent countryside and we did tap into a BT router after running our 50m Ethernet drum to give us a very poor 1Mbps upload over a landline connection.

Lighting

We put up a large Falconeyes soft light overhead on a mini boom to key the singers, with another for fill located off to the side.

We also added in some nice warm light using some Festoons & Arri 300w We as back lights. These were on dimmers set about 50% for a warm glow from behind, just enough to flare the cameras in certain positions, but not enough to be distracting.
